Description

"The Girl Who Knew Too Much" is a mystery novel written by Amanda Quick, the pen name of Jayne Ann Krentz. Set in 1930s Hollywood, the story follows Irene Glasson, a young woman who flees to California after surviving a traumatic event in Boston. In Hollywood, Irene takes on a new identity and secures a job as a reporter for a gossip magazine. However, Irene's past catches up with her when she witnesses a murder at a party. Determined to uncover the truth behind the crime, she teams up with Oliver Ward, a former magician turned private investigator. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a web of secrets, lies, and scandals that threaten not only their lives but also the glamorous facade of Hollywood. The novel combines elements of mystery, romance, and historical fiction, offering readers a thrilling journey through the golden age of Hollywood while unraveling the secrets hidden beneath its glittering surface.
