Under the Starlit Sky
In a quiet town by the hills, a stargazing event was held every year. People gathered with their blankets and telescopes, looking up at the vast sky filled with countless stars. Some came alone, some with friends, and some with lovers. Among them was Estylina, a young woman who had always loved the stars. She believed that every star had a story, just like every person on Earth.
Gregorio, a man who had never been to a stargazing event before, arrived with little expectation. He had always been too busy with work to think about things like stars and constellations. But tonight, something in his heart told him to go. Maybe he was looking for something—though he didn’t know what.
As Estylina spread her blanket on the grass, she noticed Gregorio standing nearby, looking a little lost. She smiled and waved.
“You can sit here if you’d like,” she said.
Gregorio hesitated but then walked over. “Are you sure? I don’t want to take your spot.”
“There’s enough sky for everyone,” Estylina replied with a grin.
He chuckled and sat beside her. The night breeze was cool, and the sky was clear. Thousands of stars twinkled above them like tiny diamonds.
“So, do you come here every year?” Gregorio asked.
“Yes,” Estylina said, hugging her knees. “I love the stars. They remind me that the world is bigger than our problems.”
Gregorio looked up. “I’ve never really thought about that before. I guess I’ve always been too busy.”
Estylina turned to him. “Busy with what?”
“Work. Life. Trying to be successful,” he admitted. “But sometimes, I feel like something is missing.”
Estylina nodded. “Success is important, but so is happiness. What makes you happy?”
Gregorio was silent for a moment. Then he sighed. “I don’t know. I think I forgot how to be happy.”
Estylina’s heart ached a little. She didn’t know why, but she wanted to help him find his happiness again.
“Well, tonight, let’s just enjoy this moment,” she said. “No work, no worries. Just the stars.”
Gregorio smiled. “That sounds nice.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching the sky. Then Estylina pointed at a bright star.
“That’s Vega. One of the brightest stars in the sky,” she said. “It’s part of a love story.”
Gregorio raised an eyebrow. “A love story?”
“Yes. Have you heard of the legend of Vega and Altair?”
He shook his head.
Estylina’s eyes sparkled. “It’s an old story about two lovers who were separated by the Milky Way. They can only meet once a year, on a special night when a bridge of stars appears.”
Gregorio stared at the sky. “That’s kind of sad.”
“It is,” Estylina agreed. “But it’s also beautiful. Love finds a way, even if the whole universe tries to keep two people apart.”
Gregorio glanced at her. “Do you believe in love like that?”
Estylina thought for a moment. “I believe love is powerful. It doesn’t have to be like a fairy tale, but when you find the right person, it’s worth everything.”
Gregorio felt something stir inside him. He had never thought much about love before. But sitting here, under the stars, listening to Estylina talk, he felt something different—something warm.
“What about you?” Estylina asked. “Have you ever been in love?”
Gregorio sighed. “I thought I was, once. But it didn’t last. Maybe I wasn’t good at love.”
Estylina smiled gently. “Love isn’t something you have to be good at. It’s something you feel.”
Gregorio looked into her eyes. They were deep and kind, like the night sky itself. “And what about you? Have you been in love?”
Estylina shook her head. “Not yet. But I hope one day, I will be.”
A breeze passed between them, carrying the soft scent of wildflowers. The stars above seemed to shine a little brighter.
For the rest of the night, they talked about their dreams, their fears, and the things they had never told anyone before. Gregorio shared his worries about life, and Estylina spoke of her dreams to travel and see the world.
As the event came to an end, people started packing up. Gregorio didn’t want to leave. He didn’t want to say goodbye to Estylina.
“Will I see you again?” he asked.
Estylina hesitated, then smiled. “The stars will always be here. So will I.”
Gregorio took a deep breath. “Then, can I take you out for coffee sometime?”
Estylina’s smile widened. “I’d like that.”
And so, under the vast and endless sky, two strangers became something more. A single night of stargazing turned into a beautiful beginning.
Days turned into weeks, and Gregorio and Estylina spent more time together. They went for long walks, watched sunsets, and shared laughter over cups of coffee.
Gregorio found himself changing. He started to notice the little things—the way the wind played with Estylina’s hair, the way she laughed with her whole heart, the way she made even the ordinary feel magical.
One evening, as they sat by a lake, watching the reflection of the stars, Gregorio reached for her hand. “You make me feel alive,” he said softly. “Like I finally found what I was missing.”
Estylina squeezed his hand. “You were never missing anything, Gregorio. You just needed to slow down and see the beauty around you.”
He looked into her eyes, and in that moment, he knew—she was the beauty he had been searching for.
“I love you, Estylina,” he whispered.
She smiled, her eyes shining like the stars. “I love you too.”
And just like that, under the same sky where they first met, two hearts became one. Their love, like the stars, would shine forever.

The Lesson of the Story :
The lesson in the story is that love comes when we least expect it. Sometimes, we focus too much on work and success that we forget to enjoy life. True happiness is not about how much we achieve but about the moments we share with others.
Love is not about being perfect; it is about understanding, kindness, and trust. When we open our hearts, we allow love to grow. Deep connections happen when we listen, share our dreams, and support each other.
The universe has a way of bringing people together. When love finds us, we should not be afraid to embrace it. Like the stars in the sky, love can shine brightly if we let it.
