The Alien in Disguise
In a faraway galaxy, on a planet called Zog, there lived an alien named Victor. He was not like humans. His skin was bright blue, and he had three big eyes. But even though he was different, Victor had one big dream—he wanted to visit Earth.
He loved Earth movies. He watched them every day and imagined what it would be like to walk among humans. "Earth looks fun!" he told his best friend, Zorp. "Humans eat strange food, wear strange clothes, and do strange things. I must see it for myself!"
Zorp scratched his head. "But what if they discover you're an alien?"
Victor grinned. "I have a plan!"
He climbed into his spaceship and set the course for Earth. After a long journey, he finally landed in a quiet forest. He pressed a button on his belt, and his body changed. His skin turned normal, his third eye disappeared, and he looked just like a regular human.
Victor smiled at his reflection in the spaceship window. "Perfect! No one will know I'm an alien!"
Victor’s first stop was a coffee shop. In the movies, he had seen humans drinking coffee, so he wanted to try it too.
He walked in and stood in line. He listened carefully to what the people in front of him were saying.
"One black coffee, please."
"Can I get a caramel latte?"
"Two cappuccinos!"
When it was his turn, the barista smiled. “What would you like?”
Victor smiled back. “I would like a coffee with extra ketchup, please.”
The barista blinked. “Uh… ketchup?”
“Yes!” Victor nodded. “Lots of ketchup!”
People in the shop turned to stare. A man behind him whispered, “Did he just say ketchup?”
The barista raised an eyebrow. “We don’t put ketchup in coffee.”
Victor quickly realized his mistake. He laughed, pretending it was a joke. “Oh! Haha! Just kidding. I’ll have a regular coffee.”
As he sat down, he whispered to himself, “Note to self: Humans don’t like ketchup in coffee.”
Later that day, Victor went to the park. He saw many humans walking their dogs. He thought it looked fun and wanted to try it too.
Then, he saw a small, fluffy animal sitting on a bench. It had round eyes and soft white fur.
Victor clapped his hands. “A tiny dog! Perfect!”
He carefully picked up the animal and tied a string around its neck, making a leash. “Let’s go for a walk, tiny dog.”
Victor happily walked through the park, holding the leash. People began staring. A little boy pointed. “Mommy, look! That man is walking a cat!”
Victor frowned. “A cat?” He looked down at the animal. It gave him an annoyed look and let out a loud “Meow!”
“Oh no,” Victor muttered. He had mistaken a cat for a dog!
A woman laughed. “Sir, that’s not a dog. That’s a cat.”
Victor chuckled nervously. “Ah, yes! Of course! On my planet, cats and dogs look very similar.” He quickly untied the leash, and the cat ran away.
One day, Victor was invited to a birthday party. He was excited. In movies, humans always brought gifts to parties. But what kind of gift should he bring?
He thought long and hard. Then, he had an idea. He grabbed a big jar of mayonnaise and wrapped it in shiny paper. "This is the perfect gift!" he said happily.
At the party, the birthday girl unwrapped her presents. When she opened Victor’s gift, she blinked in surprise.
“Uh… mayonnaise?” she said, confused.
Victor grinned. “Yes! I saw humans eat this in many movies. It must be special.”
People whispered and chuckled. One boy said, “That’s… different.”
Victor tilted his head. “Did I do something wrong?”
The birthday girl forced a smile. “Uh, thank you?”
Victor beamed. “You’re welcome!”
Later, he saw the jar sitting on a table, unopened. “Strange,” he muttered. “I thought humans loved mayonnaise.”
Another time, Victor was invited to a fancy dinner party. The table was covered with shiny plates, glasses, and many different forks.
Victor sat down and watched what others did. But soon, he got confused. One fork for salad, one for meat, one for fish… too many forks!
He grabbed a fork and started eating his cake. The host gasped. “Victor, that’s the wrong fork!”
Victor looked at it. “Oh? On my planet, we use one fork for everything.”
People laughed. The host smiled. “Well, I guess that makes things easier.”
Victor relaxed. Even when he made mistakes, humans seemed to find it funny.
One evening, Victor was invited to a dance party. He had never danced before, but he had seen it in movies. It looked simple—just move your body to the music.
When the music started, Victor jumped onto the dance floor. He waved his arms wildly, kicked his legs, and spun around like a tornado.
People stopped and stared. Some gasped. A woman dodged as Victor’s arm nearly hit her. A man dropped his drink in shock.
Someone whispered, “What kind of dance is that?”
Victor grinned. “It’s the Zog Shuffle! Very popular on my planet!”
People started clapping and laughing. Soon, others joined in, copying Victor’s silly moves. The party turned into a fun, wild dance-off!
Victor smiled. Maybe he wasn’t so bad at this after all.
Days passed, and Victor kept learning about Earth. He made many mistakes, but he always laughed along with everyone.
One afternoon, he sat in the park, watching kids play. A little girl ran up to him. “Mister, are you a magician?”
Victor blinked. “A magician?”
“Yes!” she giggled. “You always do funny things, like magic tricks!”
Victor thought about it. He did not understand Earth customs, but people always smiled around him.
Maybe being different wasn’t bad. Maybe it made life more fun.
That night, Victor looked at the sky. His spaceship was ready. He could leave anytime.
But did he want to?
Victor thought about the laughter, the friends he made, and the fun he had. Earth was strange and confusing, but it was also wonderful.
With a big smile, Victor made his decision. He would stay.
And so, Victor, the alien in disguise, continued his adventures on Earth—making mistakes, learning new things, and most importantly, making people laugh.
