Season 2, Episode 8 : Supernatural Monster Hunter ( Afro ) “The Council of Shadows”
Afro’s boots echoed on the marble floors of the Council Tower. Behind him, Nya walked silently, her eyes darting to every shadow. The Council\'s golden insignias were now cracked and faded, and the air was heavy with betrayal.
They had just fought through hordes of Sky Wraiths, barely surviving the ambush. The Signal Master’s cracked mask lay in Afro’s coat pocket — a souvenir of deceit. Now they were going to confront the heart of it all: the remaining members of the Neo-Eko Council.
The grand chamber opened like the maw of a beast. Twelve seats lined a glowing circle, each occupied by an elder dressed in shimmering tech-fused agbadas and gele headwraps laced with electric beads. But something was wrong.
The council members were statues—literally.
Frozen in place, stone skin, hollow eyes.
Nya stepped forward. “Petrified. Their spirits have been taken.”
From the shadows emerged a new figure. A woman, draped in a flowing black-and-purple robe made of nano-fibers and ancient cloth. Her eyes glowed violet. She wore a necklace of ancestor bones.
“I am Iyami Alubankudi,” she said, her voice echoing. “High Priestess of the Forgotten Ones.”
Afro stepped forward. “You’ve been pulling the strings.”
“No,” she replied. “I’ve been correcting a mistake. The monsters you fight? They were once protectors. Until your council imprisoned them for profit. Now they return for justice.”
A low hum filled the chamber. Suddenly, energy surged from beneath the floor, forming a massive circle of fire and code. From it rose the spirits of the petrified council — twisted and corrupted.
They had become digital wraiths.
Afro drew his blades. Nya conjured her lightning staff. Together, they lunged forward, striking the council wraiths with everything they had. Sparks, flames, and screams filled the chamber.
“Iyami is feeding off the fight,” Nya yelled, “we have to stop her ritual!”
Afro sprinted through collapsing columns toward her, dodging flame-coded arrows. But before he could strike, she vanished in a burst of smoke and laughter.
The chamber collapsed behind them. They barely escaped with their lives.
Outside, Neo-Eko’s skyline burned.
The final war was beginning.
