At Mr Mariana\'s new house, Nathi took out the take away he had gotten for his father and chuckled stepping out of his car knowing exactly what he was going to say. \"You should be with your wife and kids instead of bringing me food at night as if I\'m your girlfriend\" that\'s exactly what he was going to say. He knocked for a few minutes and sighed getting no response. He was probably in the other room sleeping hence why he couldn\'t hear his knock. He took out his phone and called him but the phone rang in the sitting room as he sighed turning the doorknob and to his surprise the door wasn\'t locked.

He pushed the door and immediately when he walked in, he caught the strong smell of alcohol as a frown formed over his eyebrow. He walked in further and his heart skipped as his eyes fell on his father lying with bottles of alcohol around him while dry foam ran down his cheeks. His stomach twisted as he swallowed walking over and kneeled before him putting down the takeaway next to him.

He looked at the empty bag of pills and swallowed hard slightly shaking his father.

Him: tata, Tata?

He checked his pulse and it was so faint that his blood started rushing as fear came. \"What have you done?\", He thought to himself as he looked around and picked him up but paused at his father\'s phone ringing. He looked at Zweli calling and picked.

Zweli: Mariana I just saw message, please don\'t do what you\'re thinking of doing. Who do you think that those boys are gonna be left with if you kill yourself cause they know you as their father. *Sighed* look I know that what your wife did hurt you but you can\'t punish the kids for something they didn\'t know. Those boys love you like their father, they don\'t know any father besides you. Please don\'t let this ruin your relationship with them.

Nathi frowned.

Him:What do you mean that we\'re not his boys?

Zweli went quiet for a minute and sighed.

Zweli: where is your father.

Him:*swallowed a lump* he *sighed* he tried to kill himself, I don\'t know if he\'s alive or what but I\'m taking him to the hospital.

Zweli:*sighed* please keep me update.

Him:*swallowed* what do you mean that we\'re not his children?

Zweli:*sighed* he will tell you when he wakes up himself. I hope it\'s not too late though. Keep me updated I have to go.

He hung up as Nathi sighed confused. He felt his pulse and his blood rushed as he ran out with him.

At the hospital, over twenty minutes later, Nathi ran inside with his heavy father in his arms as doctors and nurses ran to him with a stretcher.

Him:*swallowed with red eyes* please help him, I found him unconscious with alcohol and a bag of empty pills next to him.

He took out the plastic and gave it to the doctor as he inspected it and sighed looking at the nurses.

Doctor: take him to the emergency room we need to start draining the pills out of his system before they cause much damage and give him fluids. His pulses are faint.

The male nurse quickly nodded as he pushed him away with an oxygen over his mouth. Nathi looked at him in defeat as he took a sit and sent a message to his wife.

Him: babe please don\'t wait up on me I\'m at Netcare Private Hospital. Dad tried to kill himself.

A tear dropped and he sniffled sending his brothers a message. A call from una immediately can through.

Nathi: hello?

Una: what do you mean you have taken dad to hospital. What happened?

Nathi:*swallowed* I don\'t know, I just found him lying lifeless at his house. It\'s just a lot and honestly I don\'t think I have energy for all of this. We just lost mama and now this. It\'s just a lot. We still need to prepare for mama\'s funeral. I don\'t know why dad would be so selfish.

Una:*sighed* I\'m on my way. I\'ll pass by Phila.

Nathi: I don\'t know if he\'s strong enough for this. Please be mindful when telling him.

Him:*nodded* okay.

He hung up and sighed leaning back while his head raced trying to think of what he had been told and dealing with his father dying.

Meanwhile, at Phila\'s house, una parked his car and stepped out calling him but his phone just rang. He walked over and knocked once before opening the unlocked door.

The lights were already off so he just sighed walking to his room before opening. His eyes fell on a naked phila and another man behind him as he swallowed shocked.

\"What the fu.... PHILA?\"

Phila woke up and he jumped with his eyes popped in shock as the other man also woke up. His heart pounded as he looked at the man then una.

Phila: how did you get in?

Una looked at him then at the man and sighed defeated.

Una: you know what, it doesn\'t matter how I got in here. I came to get you cause out father is at the hospital dying. Please get dressed I\'ll wait for you in the car.

He turned around and walked out as Phila swallowed looking at Michael who shrugged.

Michael: what are you going to tell him?

Phila:*sighed* I don\'t know but I think we should take a break. I will see what I will tell my brother.

Michael:*swallowed* but I don\'t want to....

Phila:*frustrated* can you please not be selfish and understand where I\'m coming from for once Michael. I said I want a break please respect that. I don\'t have time to nurse your feelings right now I\'m going through a lot.

He quickly got dressed as Michael sighed looking at him with a long face.

Michael: I\'m sorry.

He paused looking at him and sighed walking over before giving him a kiss on the lips.

Phila: sorry for shouting I\'m just going through a lot please understand. *Picked his phone and sighed looking at the time* I\'m going to the hospital and i don\'t think I\'ll be back soon. You can either sleep here alone or just leave I will call you when I get time. Bye I love you and behave.

Michael smiled blushing as Phila chuckled walking out. He took a deep breath looking at his brother sitting inside the car while pressing his phone and sighed knocking on the window. Una lifted up his head and looked at him before opening. He looked at his brother and swallowed.

Phila: I know what you think but it\'s not what it looks like.

Una looked at him and shook his head.

Una: *chuckled* I didn\'t say anything mna I was just shocked nje and besides, it\'s not like I never suspected. I\'m just surprised nje that\'s all.

Phila sighed looking down.

Phila: please don\'t tell bro Nathi he\'ll be mad.

Him:*shook his head*Don\'t worry about me, I won\'t, now can we go?

Phila looked at him and nodded as una chuckled driving off.

Una: by the way you should lock up so that your brother doesn\'t find out.

Phila:*laughed embarrassed as he nodded* yah thanks.

Him: *nodded* anytime.

He sighed in relief leaning back as una drove through the traffic.

The following day, at Simthandile\'s house, she frowned looking at the messy kitchen as she walked in. She looked at her supplements and sighed walking to the dining room where music was blasting while lara sat on the couch with the shortest revealing dress on earth while eating a loaf of bread and a plate full of eggs, polony, bacon, burger and Russians.

She sighed picking up the remote and turned down the volume before looking at her.

Simthandile: did you leave the kitchen like that on purpose because you know that the maid will clean up?

Lara looked at her and sighed smiling.

Lara: ohh you\'re up? I didn\'t make you breakfast because I didn\'t think that you\'d like it.

Simthandile looked at the plate full of food and shook her head.

Her: are you going to finish that alone?

Lara wrapped a Russian with bread and squeezed it before throwing it in her mouth and chewed. She nodded with her mouthful.

Lara: thi... This is nofing, I may even want to make some other food.

Sim:*shook her head* I think you should start looking for a job. I need my space, you are suffocating me.

She looked at the herbal life milkshake that filled the glass and shook her head.

Her: that is for weight loss *sighed* you should look for somewhere to stay. And I want to find this house clean when I get back, Maria is not coming to work today.

She walked out with her car keys and sighed getting in her car. Atleast her room and other important rooms including her office were locked. She drove off headed to Netcare. Meanwhile, in the house, Lara rolled her eyes with food in her mouth. She picked the remote and increased the volume as she danced along while trying to swallow the food. Her eyes popped as it got stuck in her throat. She picked up the milkshake and gulped it down before sighing relieved and smiled farting. She chuckled alone and picked a bacon and with bread as she bit them.

Her:*chewing* this life is nice.

She nodded while trying to sing with food in her mouth.
