The following day at King William\'s town Police station, the brothers waited inside the car as their father approached. He opened the door and quietly took a sit on the passenger side as Nathi looked at his long face. He smiled assuringly.

Nathi: I know how much you loved mama and how this whole thing must be hurting you right now. I just want to ensure you that I am here for you *smiled looking at his brothers* we all are and you don\'t have to worry about a place to stay. We will build you a new one.

His father looked at him as a lump sat on his throat.

Mr Mariana: *cleared his throat* thank you son. And thank you for taking me out I appreciate it.

Nathi:*smiling* anytime Tata.

Just hearing him call him his father made him so emotional that tears started rolling down as he turned looking outside the window.

Him:*his voice shook* please take me to my house first. I just want to see it for the last time before burying the memories.

Nathi looked at the brothers and they nodded their heads as Nathi sighed driving.

Nathi: okay...

Mr Mariana looked outside lost in his thoughts while tears rolled down his cheeks. He tried to stop them but the betrayal made it hard for them to stop.

At the house, minutes later, Nathi parked the car and looked at his father jumping out of the car. He walked inside the yard and walked to what used to be his house as he took a deep breath. He could barely recognise that this is what used to be his beautiful home. Only walls were left and some bricks had fallen down.

He looked at his car that also burn along with the house as he swallowed thinking of the pain his wife could\'ve felt while burning probably trying get out and screaming for help but no one could help her.

The screams of the Langas flashed in his head as he swallowed tearfully. That is also what they felt when they set their house on fire. Who could still hear their screams and the children screaming for help while they watched unbothered. What used to be a brotherhood ended on that day, and innocent souls died because of jealousy and envy from a woman scorned.

Tears choked him as he cried falling down on his knees while he cried hysterically. Nathi swallowed stepping out of the car and walked over as his father sobbed on the floor. Tears filled his own eyes as he hugged him while sniffling. The two brothers also joined in crying along with their father who was sobbing painfully.

Meanwhile, at Netcare Private Hospital, Simthandile parked her car and sighed walking stepping out as her chest burnt. She swallowed saliva and locked her car walking inside.

Her: hi?

The receptionist turned with a welcoming smile and greeted her back.

Reception: good morning mam how may I help you?

Her:*sighed* I\'ve been feeling really weird lately and I would like to see a doctor. Is there any doctor that is available?

Reception:*smiled* give me a minute mam...

She went through the computer and smiled looking up at her.

Receptionist: you are lucky because there is a doctor that is available. *She gave him a car and sighed* please wait on the chairs. They will call you now.

Simthandile nodded with a smile as she walked on the chairs and took a deep breath sitting down. Minutes later, a nurse walked out with a pad and looked at it before looking at the patients sitting on the chairs.

Nurse: number 49?

Simthandile looked at her and stood up as the nurse smiled sweetly.

Nurse: please follow me mam.

She took her bag and followed behind the nurse as she swallowed feeling heart burn.

Inside the room, Thato jotted some things down as the door opened followed by the nurse and Sim walking in.

Nurse: here\'s your next patient doctor.

Him: please sit down.

He said still busy with what he was doing as Simthandile took a sit while the nurse walked out closing the door. He finished writing and looked up with a welcoming smile.

Him: welc....

He paused locking eyes with Simthandile as his heart skipped a beat. Simthandile swallowed looking at him and sighed getting up.

Her: I...

Him:*he also got up and sighed looking at her* please don\'t leave I promise I won\'t bother you. You are a patient after all *he smiled sweetly* how may I help you?

Simthandile looked at him and blinked before swallowing.

Him:*sighed* please take a sit.

She slowly sat down as he also took a sit and looked at her.

Him: how may I help you?

Her:*took a deep breath* I... I\'ve been feeling weird lately.

Him:*nodded* can you please explain the weirdness you\'ve been feeling?

Him:*cleared her throat* I *sighed* I\'ve been vomiting a lot and my breasts are sore. I\'ve also been experiencing heartburn.

He slowly nodded and wrote down something before giving her a cup.

Him: I\'m going to need you to pee on that. We will run some pregnancy tests then after will will do some other tests as well.

Her:*she frowned* but...

Him: *sighed* it\'s just the procedures mam.

She nodded and took the cup before walking out as Thato took a deep breath leaning back. Minutes later she walked in and handed it to him as be stood up and took a pregnancy stick. He quietly poured a drop of her pee on the stick and sighed looking at her.

Him:*sighed* when last did you have sêx mam?

Simthandile looked at him a bit uncomfortable and sighed.

Her: weeks back.

He nodded and tabbed his fingers on his desk before picking up the stick. He looked at it and swallowed a lump before looking at her.

Him: congratulations you are pregnant mam but we need to be sure. So I\'m going to ask you to lie on your back on that bed.

Simthandile\'s throat dried up as she looked at him in shirk with her head racing. She pressed her lips together and swallowed walking to the bed as thato put on his gloves and walked over.

Minutes later she walked out of the hospital carrying a paper bag with her vitamins and pills as tears filled her eyes. She swallowed a lump getting inside her car and sniffled as her phone rang. She picked.

Her: babe?

Una: he you are not at home. Are you still feeling emotional?

She held her tears listening to his voice and swallowed.

Her: uhh, I went to campus but I\'m on my way now.

Him:*smiled* okay then, I love you.

Her: me too.

She swallowed hanging up and put the pills at the back as she tried to pull herself together. She wasn\'t ready for the baby and with her recent findings, she doubted that she wanted a baby with her brother. She sniffled driving out as her head raced.
