Good Moāning Lover

#61

At mam Clara\'s house the neighbour walked carrying a broom stick ready to beat the invaders as mama Clara kept screaming on the floor. He frowned looking at her rolling on the floor while crying. He slowly walked to her and crotched to her level before looking at the kids who were staring at their grandmother confused.

Him: what happened?

Kwazi:*shrugged* we just found her rolling on the floor like this.

Zazi:*nodded* ewe malume, at first we thought that she was playing but now she\'s making noise.

The neighbour sighed helping mam Clara up as she continued to cry hysterically.

\"Iyhuuuuu umntanam, Thixo nzokwenzantoni\"

She screamed as the neighbour looked at her sadly. His eyes caught the latest headlines on TV and he swallowed looking at Lara lying on the floor. He looked at kwazi and sighed.

Him: bring gogo water I think she\'s not okay.

Kwazi sprinted to the kitchen and fetched water for his grandfather. Another neighbour walked in and looked at mam Clara crying as the man tried to pull her up. The lady looked at him and sighed.

Her: I think we should call her other daughter. She\'s in shock *she looked at the kids* do you know your aunt\'s numbers?

Zazi nodded and called it out as she typed it on her phone.

At the hospital that same day, Unabantu, Phila and Nathi sat in the doctor\'s office waiting for the results. The doctor looked at them and smiled.

Him: I have the results with me.

They all looked at him eager to hear the results.

Him:*sighed* and unfortunately only one of you was a match, the rest didn\'t match.

Una looked at him and frowned.

Him: okay?

Doctor: Phila was the only match while the two of you didn\'t even match. We ran the tests more than twice but the results still came out the same.

Nathi:*sighed* I hear you doc, but shouldn\'t Unabantu also be a match since he\'s twins with Phila.

The doctor looked at him as the twins nodded in agreement.

Doctor:*shook his head* unfortunately, that is not always the case. Sometimes it happens that your blood type doesn\'t match with your family members or even your twin. And in order to be able to donate a liver to a transplant recipient you have to be a match. You have to share a compatible blood type and body size and the only person who was a match in this case was only Phila.

Phila nodded with a sigh.

Phila: so, when are we going to start with this?

Doctor: as soon as we receive your other results.

Phila:*sighed with a nod* okay.

They all stood up and walked to their father\'s room as Phila went a seperate way.

Inside the room, Mr Mariana faintly smiled as the boys walked in. He looked behind them expecting Phila and sighed.

Him: where\'s Phila?

Nathi: he had to go back to work.

Him:* nodded* okay, are you okay though?

Nathi:*sighed* Phila was the only match. Una and weren\'t compatible.

Mr Mariana looked at him and sighed looking down with a long face as Nathi smiled.

Nathi: but atleast you had a match.

Mr Mariana licked his parched lips and sighed looking at both of them.

Him: there\'s something I need to tell you.

Nathi:*looked at him* okay?

He took a deep breath not sure of where to start as his heart raced.

Him: before your mother died, I found out something about you guys.

Una looked at him as Nathi nodded.

Nathi: what is that?

Him: your mother lied to me, i am not your father. The reason why Phila is only a match is because he\'s my only child.

Unabantu frowned looking at him

Una: what do you mean. Phila and I are twins, be can\'t be the only child that\'s yours.

Meanwhile, Nathi swallowed looking at him and sighed.

Nathi: who\'s our father then?

Mr Mariana looked at him and sighed looking down.

Him: he died

There was silence in the room as everyone tried to process the news. Unabantu shook his head and sighed.

Una: I don\'t believe this.

Him:*sighed* I know it\'s hard for you to understand, that\'s how I felt too when I found out but it is true. Your mother probably killed herself because she knew that I knew.

Nathi:*sighed* is this the reason why she always favoured Phila over us, is it because we were not yours?

His father looked at the hurt in his eyes and swallowed. Nathi was always the emotional one and finding out about this broke him.

Him:*sighed* I don\'t know. I think it was the guilt of seeing you guys grow up knowing very well that I wasn\'t the father.

Una:*looked at him* who\'s our father.

Him:*swallowed* he\'s dead.

Una:*shook his head* I want his name.

Him:* looked at him* Lunga Langa.

Una looked at him and slowly nodded as a cold chill ran down his back. Tears formed in his eyes as he swallowed a lump. He sniffled walking out as Nathi sighed following after him. Mr Mariana looked at the door closing and wiped off a tear that had rolled down.

Outside, Nathi looked as Unabantu sniffling and sighed.

Nathi: I think we need to do DNA tests first. We can\'t be emotional over something We\'re not sure of.

Unabantu swallowed and sighed rubbing his eyes.

Unabantu: do you know that if this is true then there\'s a high chance that Simthandile and I might be siblings?

Nathi:*frowned* what?

Una:*sighed* yesterday she told me that we are siblings but I didn\'t believe her because I thought she was lying and now that Tata is saying it again *paused sighed* Simthandile is already pregnant and I love her. This is just a mess. I need to go....

He sighed getting in the car and drove off as Nathi\'s mouth dropped.
